Who is Jethro?

When contemplating a logo for Crew Dog Gear we wanted something relating to aviation and reminiscent of WW2 aircraft nose art. A dog came to mind but how to express it?

While on a trip to ShàngHǎi, I bounced the idea off my colleague and fellow aviator Jeff Disney. I relayed to him the scene from the movie 1941 when Capt. Wild Bill Kelso (played by the late John Belushi) was flying his Curtiss P-40 Warhawk through a canyon with the canopy open, a stogie in his mouth and his navigation chart blowing in the slipstream.

In a few minutes Jeff whipped out some drawings.  I asked Jeff to make a couple of minor changes and thus was the birth of Crew Dog.

To further show my appreciation I modified the drawing by adding Jeff's pen name "Jethro" to Crew Dog's scarf.

I am amazed by Jeff's talent and want to publicly give him credit for bring Crew Dog Jethro to life.  Thanks Jeff.
